The Pro's of the Death Penalty

The Death Penalty is one of the most serious punishments for the most serious crimes. Some people say that it is the right punishment for certian types of crimes. Most of those people live by the saying "The punishment fits the crime." Others say that it is an inhumane way of punishing criminals. They also say that it is against the 8th amendment that say that no cruel and unusual punishment may be given to a person who has been found guilty of a crime.

The death penalty will reduce very serious crimes done in and to society, the United States and the entire world. It brings closure to familes of victims. The death penalty also brings closure to families of victims. It not only makes families feel safter it makes the whole community feel safer from repeat crimes. It makes criminals think about what could happen to them if they do this. It prevents repeat offenses by criminals that get out of jail from one of the serious crimes that got them put into jail in the first place. This way it also makes more space in jail so criminals who do less serious crimes can be put in jail. In the bible it also says in the Old Testament "If anyone curses his father or mother, he must be put to death. ... If a man commits adultery [...] both the adulterer and the adulteress must be put to death."
